Next Summer Preview: A Pretty, Wearable Take On The New Season's Trends

Summer at Next offers a pretty and more tailored edit of this season's biggest trends. From big, bold floral prints to pastels, sheer panels and polka dots, you'll find the hottest new season trends interpreted here in an accessible, wearable way.

Standouts pieces included the tropical shift dress, which I was imagining myself in until I clocked it on the stunning model and realised it might not have quite the same effect on my smaller rounder self.

But I'm still gonna search it out in store, and at €44 I think it's a decent price for what has the potential to be a perfect dress-up or dress-down summer staple.

There will also be a lovely little selection of summer jackets hitting the rails, like the luxe floral bomber, €44, that's pictured on the model  in the very first photo above.

A sweet grey fabric biker inspired jacket, €75, and a similar version but in pink tweed are also worth keeping an eye out for.

Allsun's pick was the lovely matching separates - now we've seen these from most of the highstreet collections but the Next version was definitely a little more tailored, sophisticated and dare I say it, grown up than many of the other offerings. The blazer is €75 and the shorts, €28.

A selection of homeware and accessories was also on show. The homeware had a shabby chic, seaside inspired vibe with lots of lovely calming shades of blue - the cushions definitely call for closer investigation.

I wouldn't have necessarily thought of Next for accessories but I liked what I saw - and left with a fun pair of sunglasses, which you can check out in my Spring accessories video.

Everything will hit stores between now and mid May though you can find many pieces online now - will you be taking a closer look at the collection?

Check out the SS14 offerings from Oasis, Warehouse, Cos and Penneys
