Finally, finally, Cos has confirmed fashion’s worst kept secret – they’re opening their first standalone store in Ireland, this spring.
A pared back selection from this contemporary Scandinavian brand has been available from BT2 on Grafton Street, but the old Tower Records store on Wicklow Street will soon play host to the full womenswear, menswear and childrenswear collections, starting with the SS14 lines.
This is brilliant news – I love the brand’s clean and fresh aesthetic and picture many happy hours spent searching for a killer fitted dress, the likes of which I’ve coveted on Dena and Kirstie but entirely failed to locate for myself. As yet.
To whet your whistle here’s some snaps I took at the recent SS14 press day, where the rails were graced with soft pastels teamed with modern, bold shapes and tailoring. The combined effect was really quite delicious.
