I’m hugely enjoying the SS14 fashion showcases, even if I am battling through gale force winds to get there. With its soothing blues and greys, pretty ice-cream colours and charming patterns and prints, the Oasis spring line was definitely easy on the eye – though if you want as much as I do, it might not be quite as easy on the wallet!
Blue is definitely shaping up to be one of the colours of the season and it’s one hue I’ve decided to add to my wardrobe for spring. Delftware blues is how Oasis are describing their pretty blue and white florals which you can find on everything from jumpsuits to coverups to shorts. Soft baby blue denim, striped blue and white cotton and indigo leather t-shirts will also be landing in store.
Ice-cream colours were also a big story with lemon, apricot and peach a-plenty and in a range of textures too, from jacquard to broderie anglaise.
The accessories were gorgeous; bright and bold baubles and beads, an array of bejewelled or animal print flats and the sweetest little structured handbags, like that coral lovely in the photo above.
Hemlines were higher than at Warehouse and the fit a little more structured, making this collection more appealing to a slightly younger demographic - but there is lots to love for even my old aging bones (it’s my birthday today, and I’m feeling it). I have my eye on a striking green floral maxi for my Spanish jaunt this spring.
What do you think, anything catching your eye?
