I have an incredibly soft spot for Warehouse, which is one of my favourite highstreet haunts. I particularly like that they seem to be maturing with me, with their more recent collections exhibiting a definite grown-up vibe.
There’s a lot to love in the new collection – from summery, Coachella-inspired cover ups, bright patterns and digital prints to more soothing, elegant pieces that wouldn’t be out of place in the most glamorous of coastal resorts.
The 90s and the 50s, two of my favourite eras, were obvious inspirations: there were more spaghetti straps than you’d find in Courtney Love’s wardrobe, hanging side-by-side with demure midi skirts and matching tees.
In fact, co-ordinating sets continue to be big, fashion’s answer to the boring two-piece suit, emblazoned with graphic floral and palm tree prints.
Neoprene also looks like a big story this season, which makes me feel quite smug as I’ve been sporting a neoprene skirt from ASOS for the past couple of weeks.
You’ll find the SS14 collection in stores and online soon. Anything catching your eye?
