This anti-aging eyeshadow base promises all the vibrancy and lasting power of the existing primer range, along with some serious protection against the signs of aging – including a reduction in the appearance of lines and wrinkles, improved tone and texture and an improvement in redness, crepiness and other imperfections. This is €22 and I’ll report back soon!
I’m also intrigued by the (deep breath) B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray, €28. It’s loaded with skin lovin’ ingredients like Vitamin B6, vitamin E and willow bark (a natural source of salicylic acid) and you spray it directly onto bare skin in the morning, over makeup during the day or at night, before your usual products.
It makes some pretty big claims – everything from a reduction in oil and shininess to fewer blemishes and less redness - which I look forward to testing out. Incredibly tactile, the matte purple bottle speaks to its unisex aspirations – but if Mr Fluff thinks he’s getting his hands on mine, he has another think coming.
Nail nuts will also rejoice at the news of two new limited edition nail colours each season. Autumn’s launches are Vice and Addiction, a shimmery purple and sparkly, blackened pewter, and they’re just divine.
Both share a quick drying, chip resistant formula and come housed in a cool-as-feck, skull topped bottle and these things combined more than justify the €14 price tag, in my book. Vice came home with me in my jammy blogger’s goody bag, so I’ll have swatches for you soon.
The redesigned Brow Boxes are also ticking all my boxes with their handy trio of tools – a brush each for powder and wax, and a teeny tweezers – tucked beneath two shades of powder and a setting wax.
The powder shades are great – very natural looking and not too dark – and both layers have a mirror, which is fantastic attention to detail. Choose from Brown Sugar or Honey Pot for €25.
Lastly, it wouldn’t be an Urban Decay launch without an addition to the Naked franchise. This time a pressed powder joins the permanent line, a silky, lightweight product designed to set makeup beautifully while being almost imperceptible on the skin. Again, the packaging is stunning and five oil, paraben, alcohol and fragrance free shades are on offer at €28 a pop.
What do you reckon, is anything floating your boat?
Fluff and Fripperies is currently on vacation but please leave a comment and I will catch up with everyone when I'm back!
