The hardcore lipstick lovers among you may already know that Urban Decay are going back to their roots, with a new lipstick range being added to their permanent collection.
Way back in the make up mists of time, when the Naked and Naked 2 palettes (see mine in action!) were but a gleam in founder Sandy Lerner's eye, the edgy Californian company started out as a lipstick and nail polish brand.
The Revolution lipstick line is, to paraphrase one Ms Cheryl Cole - surely a woman who knows good lipstick – both worth having and worth fighting for. It is seriously amaze, in its slick gunmetal casing with expensive feeling, fancypants detailing, and a formula that rivals any other on the market today.
L-R Bang, Shame, Anarchy - ONE SWIPE! |
With excellent coverage, payoff and cushiony creaminess, these slick on smoothly for a satiny sheen that hangs about for a good 3-4 hours. In a world where luxury lipstick prices edge ever closer to insane (yes Tom Ford, I'm looking at you), the €20 pricetag also seems like exceptionally good value.
Now the only question is, which of the 22 shades should you take home first?
The hot pink Anarchy has been getting lots of attention, and with good reason, too – check it out over on Frillseeker – but for my money, the orangey-red Bang, vampy Shame or classic red hues of 69 are also worth pride of place in your beauty bag.
The nudes are bang on the money too, with no less than eight to choose from - meaning there’s a good chance you’ll find The One in this collection.
But that's not all! Revolution has a sidekick, too: the 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencils are the product my lips were waiting for, without even realising they’d been missing out.

These give a clean line, prevent feathering and give your lip colour something to hold onto, meaning it will last longer. 16 shades are on offer, including Ozone, a clear waxy pencil that should go with everything in your stash. Oh, and they’re vegan, too, which I know is important to lots of you – they’re €16.

It's all on counter now so go on, tell me, which of them's catching your eye?
