I own lots of hot pink lipsticks – some might even say too many – but trust me, Pink Petal is different. Where the others are blue based, this has slightly yellow undertones which make it softer, warmer and easier to wear. (In fact, it reminds me a lot of my favourite Dior nail polish – I must do the whole matching lips and tips thang some day soon.)
A very squinty-in-the-sunlight picture for you against some actual pink petals! |
Part of the Be Legendary line, this has a cream finish (it’s also available in matte) which gives lips a soft, flattering sheen. The formula is creamy and rich, without feeling heavy on the lips, and slicks on smoothly with great colour payoff. Wear time is good and it’s comfortable on, too, thanks to the inclusion of shea butter and other emollients in the mix.
It’s actually quite rare to find a really great, luxury lipstick for under twenty quid these days – mad, I know, but they’re the times we live in – so if you find yourself with a spare €19 and in need of a treat, I’d point you towards Smashbox.
Have you tried any of the Be Legendary lippies yourself?
