Perhaps I was inspired by next month's Bobbi Brown launch, Navy & Nude, but since I don't have that palette in my possession I worked with what I have. Fancy a peek?
FACE: When I need a flawless base that will stick around all day, I turn to Chanel Perfection Lumiere or Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 Hr. Here it was the former, teamed with Radiant Creamy Concealer from NARS (which I reviewed on beaut.ie here), YSL Touche Eclat and my trusty MAC Blot Powder. A few spritzes of Clarins Fix Plus slightly softens the look, although I'm not entirely convinced it helps it last longer.
CHEEKS: I try to add some definition to my big round head with the Bourjois Bronzing Base followed with Les Beiges de Chanel, which I absolutely adore. A little Benefit Hervana blush brings just the right amount of colour to the cheeks. I forgot to bring my highlighter so I used a little of the shimmery shade, Venus, from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette which worked fine.

Then I switched to YSL's Artic Night palette, from the Northern Lights Christmas collection. The shades are interesting: there's a burgundy, with navy sparkle, silver, cornflower and navy blue and I used the navy and the burgundy together. Artdeco's Magic Eyeliner in 60, a creamy petrol blue, and a few coats of Lancome Hypnose mascara in black completed the look.
LIPS: Keeping the focus on the eyes I just used some of Clinique's Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa, a sheer and natural pink, topped off with some Bobbi Brown Pink Lily gloss.
