Arnotts Autumn Winter Fashion Preview: GIMME!

I think the one consolation of summer drawing to a close is the lovely, lovely Autumn/Winter fashion. Every year the AW collections take my breath away and have me almost – almost – wishing away the end of the summer months.

The Arnotts Press Show was a case in point: it was all about sharp tailoring, modern femininity and just the right amount of edge. 

Olga Berg 

The accessories were jawdroppingly good – from the bejewelled Olga Berg clutches which are new to the store, to Kurt Geiger’s round toed and block heeled shoes and Buffalo’s slick animal print ankle boots. 

Rebecca Minkoff’s elegant wine coloured tote is the perfect autumn accessory and I defy you not to fall for the statement necklaces from cool Scandinavian brand, Second Female (also new to the store).

Standout pieces included a red Lennon Courtney dress that I would have loved to see on a model, rather than a mannequin. Though there was plenty of colour on the runway, too: Orla Kiely’s yellow coat (€595) and devore dress (€455) were sweet and slightly retro, while Goat’s red crepe dress and coat were effortlessly simple and chic.

I also loved the rocky, glam/grunge vibe of label 2nd Day, which is why I’m including this slightly blurry photo of their gorgeous shearling waistcoat and leather panel jeans. At €945, the waistcoat’s aspirational, but the jeans are closer to my price range at €140.
