Don'tcha just love a brand with not only a quality, affordable product line, but heritage and a great back story, too?
Celebrating their 150th anniversary this year, Bourjois certainly tick all of these boxes and more. This is the brand that gave the world the first baked powder blush, and a century and half later, they're still ahead of the pack.
This summer we're seeing a particularly bumper crop from Bourjois with incredibly strong offerings for lips, eyes and cheeks. The Summer on the Riviera range also includes some innovative tanning products like a bronzing primer, €13.99, that looks to me like a very passable dupe for Chanel’s cream bronzing base, Soleil Tan de Chanel. I sneak peeked it here.
Other tanning products include a BB Bronzing Cream, also €13.99, and gigantic powder bronzer, which is €9.99.
Chunky lip crayons are having a moment and Bourjois' offerings are very well priced at €10.99 - I'm looking forward to seeing how they stack up against similar products, including Clinique's iconic Chubby Sticks.
The Rouge Shine Edition lipsticks are also fabulous and I've already reviewed those here - they're colour coded to co-ordinate with one of the four new summery nail polish shades (€7.99).
Since taking up swimming at lunchtime I am increasingly aware of how rare it is to find a really great waterproof mascara. I have high hopes from the Volume Glamour Max Holidays range, limited edition mascaras with travel sized packaging but which contain 6ml of product. Launching in Boots this month for €7.99, these come in the shades Ultra Black, Electric Blue, Green Lagoon and Purple Mania.
But perhaps the most exciting of all are the new cream blushers which on paper, sound rather similar to a much higher-end offering that's coming soon, from sister brand Chanel. Priced at €10.49 and launching next month, these are absolute stunners and you'll be seeing more from them on the blog soon!
Maybe you've tried some of these already, or is anything catching your eye?
