With the exception of the lime, the shades are softly sparkling with a silver microshimmer – the effect is delicate and subtle, but really gives the collection added oomph. You know the deliciously hazy sparkle of sunlight on water? Yes, THAT.
Sunday Funday instantly caught my eye – described as a tangerine crush coral, it’s so juicy that it actually makes my mouth water. Look, it’s been a while since breakfast, hmmkay? Now, corals abound this season but this one stands out from the crowd: the colour’s so shiny and saturated that it looks like a gel on the nails, and the shimmer really catches the light.
The formula is pretty near perfect, as well. It went on smoothly and evenly and the new wider brush is just a joy. Here, I gave it two coats and sealed it all down with Sally Hansen’s excellent Insta-Dri anti-chip topcoat (a total gamechanger!). My hands now make me happy, and that’s what nail polish is really all about. Thanks Essie!
Look for the collection in pharmacies from July, priced at €9.99.
