Fancy a closer look at what I packed?
FACE
Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream
Lasting moisture, glowy, radiant skin and a little bit of coverage, too – this stuff was made for relaxing weekends away. Corrects a whole host of skintone concerns, from ashiness to redness and dark circles. It’s €35 but it’s one of the good ‘uns.
Benefit Fake Up
Benefit’s newbie is a hydrating hero product for those who hate cakiness or creasing under the eyes. With a concealing core surrounded by a moisturising ring of Vitamin E and apple-seed extract, this gives a pretty dewy and radiant effect. It's €26.50.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
This is a brilliant multi-tasker and comes in a huge range of shades to cater for all skintones and ethnicities - it’s as effective on blemishes as it is dark circles. Longlasting too; it’s €26.
CHEEKS
Armani Blushing Fabric Second Skin BlushL-R: Fake Up (light); NARS swatches; Armani Blushing Fabric in High Density Orange |
One of my favourite blushers ever. The colours are incredible and the silicone based formula blends beautifully, meaning it’s so easy to use. I brought two: High Density Orange and Translucent Strawberry (I bought one and was given the other).
Chanel Les Beiges
This product has been a total game-changer. I use shade #30 as a bronzer and it’s perfection – check out my full review.
Taking over the hotel room! |
NARS Satin Lip Pencils
I love these creamy, lightweight lip crayons from NARS – they’re non-drying, easy to wear and the colours are so pretty. These two are my favourites - Lodhi is a creamy coral and Luxembourg a pinkish red; they’re €25.
Soap and Glory Smooch Operator Lip Balm
I’ve already shared my thoughts on this rich and buttery balm and yep, I’m still a fan!
EYESChanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Moon Rock
Part of Chanel’s summer collection – launching this Friday, y’all! – this cream shadow stick is just divine. The taupey/platinum shade will work for pretty much everyone, and they couldn’t be easier to use – just twist up, apply to your eyelids, blend with your finger and you’re done!
Chanel Le Volume Mascara
My new mascara favourite, and for good reason – it does it all, in seconds! We’re talking length, volume and definition, and we’re talking one stroke. Read more here.
Five Minute Face: Wearing Lodhi on the lips and Translucent Strawberry on the cheeks |
Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil
I was sent a few Hourglass products to trial and this was my pick of the pack. It’s pricey (€29) but good – with a twist up triangle shaped crayon at one end and a brush at the other, it’s easy and convenient to use.
SCENT
My Travalo is filled with Beige from the Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection. Stunning scents, but the bottles are huge – making decanters like this a must.
Hmm. Maybe this wasn’t quite so pared back, after all…Do you like to travel light, and would your packing put mine to shame?
