Foolproof Makeup: The Five Minute, Five Product Face

I've been in Brussels over Easter, which is why I haven't been around to reply to comments and catch up on your blogs. I'll definitely be doing that soon! But first I want to share the fuss-free beauty bits that came with me, allowing me to get ready in minutes and spend all the more time eating waffles and drinking my favourite cherry beer.

I've told you all about the new Clarins BB cream and you can check out my before and after photos here to see why I love it so much. Of all the BB creams I've tried, this one feels the most moisturising on my skin and gives such a lovely naturally perfected finish - it should be on counter now!

This Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Candy Shimmer arrived with the BB cream, and they're the perfect pairing. These lip products have to be tried to be believed: even my sister Sara, who hates the feeling of product on her lips, loves these non-sticky, hydrating balms. She'll be delighted to learn that this is one of 3 new shades that will launch next month; Petal Shimmer and Rosewood Shimmer will also be on offer and they're all priced at €17.

I could have simplified things even more by using this Aerin Multi-Colour in Sweet Pea (€38) on my lips and cheeks, but I love the sheer, satiny glow it gives as a blush. The peachy pink shade I was given is so soft and lovely, and application's a breeze - just dab on with your fingertips, and blend out.

After writing about Clinique's Chubby Stick Shadow Tints for Eyes, I knew Whopping Willow would be coming home with me soon. And I have no regrets: this chunky eye crayon is absolutely foolproof and the slightly shimmery, golden olive shade is just divine. These are €22 and out now.

Finally, a quick coat of Chanel's upcoming mascara launch, Le Volume. Launching in early May (I've been lucky enough to get my mitts on it early),  it's effortlessly good, coating lashes from root to tip in a jiffy and delivering a wide-eyed and fluttery effect in just one coat (add more to pump up the volume even more!).  This will be €30.

And there you have it - everything here is an easy, fuss-free, high-performance product that can be applied directly from the tube and blended out with fingers if required. Five products in less than five minutes - can't say fairer than that!
