New Look AW14: Trend-Tastic!

There’s no denying it, there’s a nip in the air and the nights are drawing in – it’s been two months now since the longest day, and the seasons are a-changing. 

Which means our wardrobes are too; always the silver lining at this time of year, as autumn is undoubtedly one of the loveliest times of the year for fashion. 

Autumn at New Look is a case in point: think rail after rail of wearable, covetable offerings that look much more premium than their highly affordable price-point. 

The 60s is a big story this season (can anyone remember an autumn where this trend didn’t come out to play?!) and New Look has everything you need to rock the trend, from geometric prints to little collared tops, patterned miniskirts and those AMAZING sequinned-heel t-bars, above (around €30). 

Plaid is another big trend – last year the store took a grungy take on tartan but this year it’s more sophisticated, with matching checked separates and smartly tailored coats. 

And speaking of coats, this season they’re dreamy, in a rainbow of new season colours and textures – this coral coat was Emily’s top pick; it’s just €44.99 but feels soft as cashmere. 

And my favourites? Well I’ll be stalking my local store till this biker jacket lands, and I’m loving this printed midi skirt, €29.99, and jewelled 60s-style shift dress, approx. €35 – they’ll all land in October. 

New Look is fab for accessories and this season is no different – there are some really fun clutches (you may have spotted the Unicorn bag on my Instagram) alongside bejewelled statement ear-rings, necklaces, clutches and flats.
