This is exactly how I looked on holiday. EXACTLY. |
I brought my favourite summery bits from Chanel – some new, some old – on holiday with me recently and I’ll show you those pieces soon – but first, let’s take a peek at everything the brand will be launching next month.
The Reflects D’Ete collection will be on counters from June 6th and is a range of luxe summery staples that are incredibly wearable – and wantable.
For lips, the Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimers, €27, come in a range of sunset-inspired shades that look luminous and near-neon at first glance, but translate to a subtle wash of colour on the lips. Choose from the pink Glaze, light rose Hello, fuchsia Sexy, coral Happy or that summery orange shade (my favourite), which is appropriately called Sunny.
They’re designed to be mixed, matched or mismatched with five shades of Le Vernis for nails, €23 – three permanent (Mirabella, Tutti Frutti, Pink Tonic) and two limited (Sweet Lilac and Eastern Light). The shades pair perfectly together and are ideal for rocking the brand’s chic, signature two-toned nail art look.
For eyes, standouts include three new shades of the brand’s brilliant Illusion D'Ombre shadows – I can’t get enough of the creamy whipped mousse formula. The bronze shade, Mirage, is permanent while the lavender Utopia and coppery New Moon are limited – they’re all €30.
I’m pretty sure Mirage (bottom right) is the one for me, but I also want a good look at Utopia up close – these will be €30 and I almost wept when they weren’t yet available as I passed through duty free. Two Inimitable Waterproof mascaras in Violet Touch and Orange Touch, €30, are also launching along with an eyeliner, Stylo Yeux in Ambre Dore, €23.50.
But my favourite piece from the collection? Probably Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Cheeky, €34.50. This limited neutral, rosy brown (see above) is an absolute beauty and I'm already in love with the formula and the shades that I own.
I’ll be giving you a closer look of some key pieces along with swatches and all that jazz v shortly – stay tuned! But in the meantime, what’s jumping out to you now?
