The collection as a whole is a knockout, all luxe and lovely shades of khaki, golden beige and apricot, inspired by Mme. Chanel’s interest in superstition, fortune and good luck.
But for me, these cheeky little numbers are the absolute standout.
The shades are spectacular, ranging from the perfect neutral through to the liveliest, most vibrant corals and peaches. They pack quite a pigment punch too, though they blend out seamlessly so the colour intensity is very easy to control.
You can build up with ease from the softest, most delicate veil of colour to something punchy and intense, and this versatility means they’ll genuinely work well on all skintones. Hooray!
The two shades I have here are just divine: Presage is the most cheek-enlivening coral, while Affinite (which I'm wearing above) is a vibrant blue-toned pink.
As for the formula, it’s dreamy: described as ‘powder cream’, the silky, silicone based formula has a nice bit of slip when first applied, but quickly dries down to a weightless finish on the skin.
It feels like powder, but doesn't look remotely powdery on the cheeks - and it lasts and lasts, even in the most relentless heat.
These lovelies are versatile, too: use alone, as a primer under a powder blush, or custom-blend them to create a signature colour of your own.
Housed in signature Chanel black, the compacts all feature a handy mirror. There’s no applicator but that’s fine, fingers work perfectly and are actually my preferred method for applying this product. Just dab it on, blend it out and boom! Instant prettification.
Le Blush Creme de Chanel will be €34; will you be checking them out?
