Boots No7 Spring Collection: You Need It, And You Need It Now.

Exciting things have been happening at Boots No7 since its re-brand and overhaul a couple of years back.

The Clarins-alike BB Lip Balms are superb, the Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation is hailed as a dupe for Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua, and the Skin Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid is apparently the shizz for creating the youthful, luminous glow that forms the basis of any great springtime beauty look.

So I was quietly confident I'd enjoy their spring releases – but to find a brand new Holy Grail? Well, that took me wholly by surprise.

Let’s start with an overview:  it’s a small enough edit with a mix of textures and a very pretty colour palette; the quality has been consistently high with everything I’ve tried.

Nails are covered with the minty fresh Spring Meadow, which I’ve shown you here, or the creamy Pink Blossom, both €8, which have a quick drying, high-shine formula.

Wearing the No7 Peony Petals Blush Palette and Stay Perfect Shade and Define crayons

For eyes, there are six new shades of Stay Perfect Shade and Define crayon, €10.50, which are softer and creamier than your typical eye crayon but every bit as easy and effortless to use.

I have Pink Pearl and Deep Purple (both of which I'm wearing above) and I’m pretty sure Cool Mink and Velvet Truffle want to move in with us, too.

So far, so good but the real wow factor kicks in with the cheek products. This season’s special edition blush palette is as pretty as anything you’ll find on a high end beauty counter.

The Peony Petals Blush palette, €15.50, comprises three colours which you can use separately or swirl together for a blusher/highlight combo, like I've done in the pics above - it gives just the right amount of shimmer for this time of year.

But it’s the Pop & Glow cream blush sticks that instantly stole my heart. These twist-up chunky cheek crayons are insanely good, giving cheeks a really flattering, youthful, slightly sheeny flush of colour.

Choose from Rose Blossom (which you can watch me using here), Mango Sorbet (which I’m wearing here) or Classic Rose, for €12.95. The packaging is adorable, the products are fool proof and the colours are beautiful – you need at least one in your new season beauty bag.

Will you be checking 'em out - or are you using and loving them already?
