Paul & Joe Rosebud Lipstick for SS14: Review, Pictures

Part of the Paul & Joe Beauté SS14 collection, My Secret Garden, Rosebud is one of three lipsticks which we're told are inspired by fields of spring's wild flowers. Packaging is as whimsical and delightful as you'd expect from the brand - choose from three refillable lipstick cases in a mint green pattern, horse print or the stripey retro version I was given. 

As for the lipstick itself, lovers of full on, opaque lip colour should look away now - this ain't for you. It's a very, very sheer finish - much more of a balm than a full-on lipstick  - and actually the ingredients list would bear that out; with lavender oil, orange flower water and white lily this is intended to soothe and moisturise the lips. 

What that means though is a very wearable product,  and an easy, accessible and low maintenance way to wear red. Two other shades - an  orange, Poppy, and baby pink, Peony - are also on offer; they're all priced at  €19.66 on ASOS with the cases coming in at €9.83.
