Chanel Tissé Gabrielle Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette: Review, Pics, Swatches

Chanel Tisse Gabrielle Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette

Something very exciting is coming soon to a Chanel counter near you. This spring, the brand has updated their classic eyeshadow quads with a new formula and eight gorgeous new colourways.

Here's one for the fact-fans: created in 1982, these quads were the first of their kind to offer four eyeshadows in one single palette. They've been reinvented in a variety of finishes- including matte, iridescent and metallic - and will be on counter from March 7th, at €50 a pop.

I was lucky enough to be given Tissé Gabrielle, which is my idea of palette perfection: it's packed with the most beautiful grey taupes and smokey purple tones, and the new, talc-free formula is dreamy. The shadows are incredibly soft, blend out beautifully and can be worn in a variety of ways for a more natural or intense finish.

There's a noticeable difference to the other Chanel quads in my collection, which are  drier and more sheer. Here, the colours are creamy and pigmented, and they work together like a dream. I love the cool, neutral tones of this palette - beautifully elegant and versatile, they've been on my lids lots since I got them.

Wearability is excellent, too: on my birthday, I wore these from lunchtime to the wee hours of the next day, with no fading or creasing.

Three shades of waterproof mascara and  four waterproof liners will also launch with the collection but make no mistake, the palettes steal the show.

Will you be visiting them on counter?
