Ciaran Nevin Hair & Beauty Review

Summer can really play havoc on your hair and, while I’m still loving my ombre, I worry that the blonde tips can look a little frazzled.

So I put myself in the capable hands of Graham Kane and Sarah Hurley at Ciaran Nevin Hair & Beauty, to inject a little health and vitality back into my ‘do.

Ciaran Nevin Salon Terenure

Based in Terenure, Dublin 6, the salon is modern, bright and bustling, with a steady stream of customers coming through the doors.

I’m struck by the friendly, welcoming vibe and the way the team are the perfect combination of efficient and relaxed – you know you’re in expert hands.

After an initial chat with Sarah, we decide to put some richer, warmer tones throughout my hair, with a darker root colour and a copper tint throughout the ends.  Graeme takes off the damaged ends and cuts some layers around my face, which adds shape and movement.

I love it – there’s a fantastic shine off my hair and overall it looks healthier and in much better condition than when I walked in.

From Shu Uemura to Redken and Kerastase, the product range is top of the line -  which is what you’d expect from the team behind  shampoo.ie, Ireland’s online luxury haircare store (which I told you about here).  A full range of beauty services are also on offer, from manicures and pedicures to Dermalogica facials and more.

Despite how busy it is, Ciaran Nevin is a stress-free  zone – the overall experience is a pleasure from start to end and on a sunny, light filled afternoon, sipping a second cup of peppermint tea, it’s a lovely little oasis from the world.

Prices are competitive for a high-end salon – from €28 for a blowdry, depending on hair length – but keep an eye on the Facebook page, for the latest competitions and offers.

Do you switch up your hairstyle depending on the season?
