Essie Butler Please: Nail Of The Day

Essie's most recent collection is a good 'un. The beauty world went crazy for Leading Lady, a glittering red, and Beyond Cozy, a platinum glitter, but my favourites are the two blues: Where's My Chauffer, the turquoise I showed you here, and this beauty - Butler Please - that I wore in yesterday's post.

A bright cobalt blue, Butler Please is a bold and vibrant shade that is particularly pleasing to look at on these grey January mornings. The formula, like every Essie polish I've tried so far, is great - it goes on smoothly, is opaque in two coats and lasts a respectable amount of time on the nails. I try to always use a base coat, but it's especially important with a shade like this - stained nails are really not a good look, and blue is just the worst. And yes, I'm speaking from experience - which is why I always try to use a base coat!
