A good pedicure is the way to my heart, so when I was invited to try one out at Dublin salon Nail Chic, I didn’t have to think twice. And I even got the manicure to match! I headed along one evening after a fairly stressful day at work and was welcomed by the warm and bubbly staff, who are obviously proud of the salon. It’s a modern, bright and very girlie sort of a place, all pink and chocolate trimmings, and it’s kept very busy with a lot of walk-in trade.
After a soothing green tea with vanilla, it was on with the pedicure – and I quietly floated off on a little bubble of bliss. I have – look away now if you don’t like talk of feet – quite a build-up of dry skin on my heels (I WARNED YOU!) which was briskly tackled, and my poor achey feet were given a nice old rub, before it was on to the polish.

Though they had a fabulous range of colours, I had brought my own – Essie’s Where’s My Chauffer, from the new collection – which was used on my hands, too. I enjoyed both the manicure and the pedicure, and the combination of products they used - orange massage oil, with a cocoa butter scrub and cream - smelled delicious – just like chocolate orange. If you find yourself on Dublin’s Northside, I would highly recommend.
Do you enjoy getting your nails done, or are you a do-it-yourself kinda gal?
The classic manicure at Nail Chic is €35, the pedicure is €45 – but keep an eye on their website or Facebook page for special offers. You’ll find it at 182 Parnell Street, Dublin 1.
