The Trinity City Hotel, on Dublin’s Pearse Street, is an absolute joy. Centrally located, it looks quite unassuming from the outside - but inside, everything is really rather fabulous indeed.
The décor is decadent and just a little bit kitsch: think middle east meets west, dripping with velvet, oversized sculptures and extravagant crystal chandeliers.
The 198-bedroom hotel will see a significant cash injection of close to €2,000,000 over this year and next, but it’s already looking pretty great- as you can see from my video below.
Most of my pictures appear to be of cocktails...hmm, funny that! |
The hotel – formerly the Trinity Capital – recently relaunched and I vlogged the highlights of the party, including the gorgeous garden courtyard, bespoke cocktails and high-tech interactive graffiti wall. Such fun!
The building itself is a lovely mixture of classic and contemporary, with some rooms housed in a listed Georgian section, and boasting high ceiliings and original coving and cornicing.
In contrast, the Executive Suites, housed in the old Fire Station, are modern and colourful – several with the added bonus of Jacuzzi ensuites.
To celebrate the rebrand, the hotel is offering a Stay & Play in the City package, which includes a 2 course pre- theatre menu with a glass of wine or beer, and overnight accommodation with breakfast from €85 per person sharing. Check out the website for more.
