Don't Miss Dublin Fashion Festival, 5-8 September: It's Gonna Be Fierce!

The one drawback to my upcoming holiday? I’m missing Dublin Fashion Festival, and this year’s is shaping up to be the best one yet.

Sponsored by Samsung and organised by DublinTown.ie, who also run the fabulous Dine In Dublin, Dublin at Christmas and more, this year’s festival runs from 5th to 8th September with MTV’s Laura Whitmore as the official face.

There are a rake of great things happening to entice us into town and celebrate Dublin’s unique shopping experience, so if you live in or near the city, do head in and show your support.

A highlight is the LUAS On-Tram Fashion Show from 11-1pm on Friday 6th September at the Stephen’s Green stop – but if you can’t make that there are daily fashion shows and workshops along with Meet The Designer sessions, stylathons and more.

The Creative Quarter Fashion Show will also return this year to shine a spotlight on the best of Irish designers and showcase vintage and one-off fashion pieces sourced from the Creative Quarter area (Clarendon Street to South Great Georges Street).

Look out too for the Samsung Beauty Bus, which runs from 12-6 every day around the city, decked out in latest mobile devices and notebooks. Hop on if you spot it and avail of free makeovers, hair styling sessions and goody bags.

The Samsung Young Designer of the Year Competition plays a key role in this year’s Festival with young designers across the country submitting their designs and the shortlisted entries creating a prototype of their look.
