Ziaja Skincare SenSitive Range: The Whole Shebang Reviewed!

Tried and Tested by Allsun for Fluff and Fripperies

Finding a great skincare range that’s also pocket friendly is a definite WIN WIN for all. I'd recently heard a lot of great things about Ziaja Skincare, which stems from Poland. The company produces high-quality cosmetics based on natural ingredients for face, body and hair care.

I was lucky enough to get my mitts on their SenSitive Range, which has 0% parabens, 0% alcohol, 0% perfume, 0% silicones and 0% mineral oils… It all sounds great, no harsh chemicals being rubbed into me auld mug…but does it actually deliver?

Ziaja Sensitive Skincare Review

There are five products in the range:

ONE The soothing day cream, €6.99 for 50ml:  a great base for under my foundation, this soaked right in and I found it nice and hydrating on my dry skin. It's non-greasy and won’t leave you looking like a shiny mess. It also claims to help reduce redness, which I can actually vouch for - I'm prone to redness on my cheeks and after using this for 4 weeks solid, the redness doesn’t bother me as much. The SPF 20 is an added bonus.

TWO The big brother to the day cream (and the same price), the "firming night cream" has a thicker texture but,  even with the heavier consistency, doesn’t overload my skin. I find it super duper moisturising - my skin feels really soft and smooth after use. I lather it all over my face and neck just before my head hits the pillow. Both of these creams have absolutely no fragrance, which can be weird when you are used to using lots of smelly creams – but it’s a plus for sensitive skins. Both creams score very highly in my opinion.

THREE Now onto my favourite product in the range - the Miceller Water. I'd never used a water base to remove my makeup or cleanse my skin before (see Emma’s favourite here). I’m converted – this is just so easy, soothing and refreshing on the skin.  It does also remove eye makeup but, depending on how much mascara or liner you wear, and whether it’s waterproof or not, you might be better off with a separate eye makeup remover.  There’s absolutely no tightness or stinging with this stuff -  I just love it and, for €4.99 for 200ml, I will be back for more.

FOUR My second fave? The  Enzyme Peel,  which is a gentle chemical exfoliant. Basically, it peels off dead skin cells for a softer, smoother complexion. It also prepares the skin for better penetration of all your skincare goodies. Just smooth all over the face, leave for 15 minutes and wipe off with warm water. Honestly, for my skin, this is magic. My face feels great, my makeup sits much better and doesn't settle into pores – and I put this all down to the peel.  Go get it - at only €4.99 for 60ml, it's hard to beat.

FIVE Finally the only product that doesn't really float my boat is the ‘creamy wash gel for face & body’ – and that’s only because it doesn’t have a smell. I’m addicted to fruity or vanilla scents in my shower. But for very sensitive types who need to avoid fragrances, this would be ideal. It’s gentle on the skin and the pump is really handy – it’s the little things! Again, this is fantastic value at €4.99 for 400ml.

Find Ziaja in chemists or online on www.originalbeauty.ie; they’ve loads of other ranges that I’ll happily explore  - but I won’t be switching from the SenSitive Micellar Water or Enzyme peel any time soon…
