Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Day Lily OR 418: Review, Pics, Swatches

Shiseido Perfect Rouge lipstick in Day Lily OR 418

Ever since this glorious swatchfest, I've been obsessed with Shiseido's Perfect Rouge lipstick - so imagine my delight to unpack one in the March Powder Pocket beauty box*.

No, seriously, imagine.

It was almost as delighted as I was about that beer that time. Or that cocktail that other time. Wait, I'm sensing a theme...

Moving swiftly away from the beverages, I am all about the orange lip this summertime. So juicy! So vibrant! So fresh! And this shade,  Day Lily (OR 418), is my new favourite orange of all time.

(You can catch me chatting about it at around 9.50 mins in this video btw, if you're so inclined.)

Day Lily is swatched left, below Tulip.
The shade is richly pigmented, with a satiny sheen and just a hint of shimmer - which doesn't look glittery at all, but adds some lovely luminosity to the colour.

The formula's fab, too: it feels creamy, is easy to wear, doesn't wear off too quickly and won't dry out your lips. In fact, it will help keep them moisturised; it contains hyaluronic acid, and makes lips look smooth, plumped up, and almost as juicy as the colour!

Priced at €25, we're in high-end territory here but with the quality - and, let's face it - the packaging (that gorgeous metallic case!) to match the price point.  It's my latest love.

*Powder Pocket is priced from €12 per month, excluding postage and packaging - check out the website for more.
