L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Eau de Teint Foundation Review; Before and After Pics

L'Oreal Eau De Teint Foundation

The way we feel about foundation seems to be changing. The new makeup mood is all about makeup that enhances, not masks, the complexion; hiding imperfections, while feeling lightweight and comfortable to wear.

L’Oreal’s latest offering – it launched in November last year - taps perfectly into the trend.  With an incredibly light texture - lighter than water, according to the blurb – this is a very fine, fluid foundation that, much like Armani’s Maestro, or LancĂ´me’s soon-to-launch Miracle Air de Teint, is oil based.

The idea is that the oils evaporate off your skin, leaving you with a fine veil of pigment which perfects and enhances the complexion. You’re left with a semi-matte effect that stays put a good eight hours on my combination skin, with just a dusting of powder on my stupidly oily tzone.

Unlike the higher end brands that I’ve mentioned, there are just 6 shades in the range and the palest, shade 100, is what I’m wearing here. There are distinct yellow undertones so if that’s not your preference, this might not work for you. But I really, really like it, and all the more so for the €12.99 price point. It blends very nicely, feels completely weightless and gives a very natural finish – it genuinely looks like my own skin, just much better.

The glass bottle is teeny – it holds 20 ml of product – but you need just the smallest amount. I tap a little onto the back of my hand and apply with a brush or the Real Techniques sponge (it’s what I’m wearing in this post).

What do you think, have you tried it yet? Are you tempted?
