I've shared my autumn/winter beauty favourites in this video, but these lovely lacquers deserve a closer look. From murky muted hues to modern neutrals, deep, dark jewel tones and the entire Essie AW13 collection, here's what I'm favouring on my fingertips this weather.
ONE After School Boy Blazer is possibly my favourite of the six Essie shades: this glossy, blackened navy is a shade shifter, appearing more or less blue depending on the light.
TWO A sophisticated grey shot through with unexpected sparkle, Cashmere Bathrobe is the first colour that caught my eye from this collection. It's a rare glitter that manages to come off chic, but this one does so with aplomb.

THREE Twin Sweater Set is a cool leaning, slightly darkened red that makes me feel more glamorous and put together when I wear it. A great staple to have in your collection.
FOUR I'm wearing Vested Interest* as I write - this mossy greyed out green is underwhelming in the bottle, but really rather lovely on the nails.
FIVE For the Twill of It is a gorgeous metallic duochrome that's by turns a heathery purple, olive green or steely grey.

SIX The vibrant magenta shimmer of The Lace is On says just one thing: it's PARTY TIME! Like all the colours in this line, the formula is brilliant - they're all €9.99 and you'll find 'em in Boots or other chemists.
SEVEN Moving away from Essie, Taupe Greige from Armani's new nail polish line is incredibly expensive at €24 but the formula is second-to-none; it dries quickly to a high shine, gel effect finish that's every bit as good as a professional job. Plus, the shade is delicious.

EIGHT In a similar colour family but more cool toned, Sally Hansen's Greige, €8.95, is another very modern feeling neutral that magically pairs well with everything, making it very easy to wear. Like the rest of the range, the formula is fab with the wide brush making it very easy to apply.
NINE At just €6.95 and with a wide selection of on-trend shades, the Kate Moss for Rimmel Salon Pro polishes represent fabulous value for money. I am in love with this one, Punk Rock, which is the perfect moody, murky purple/grey. See it in action here.
TEN I've shown you Urban Decay's Vice before so I won't go on except to say: LOVE.
What do you think, anything catching your eye?
