Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose Perfume: Review

Emporio Armani has given a fresh and floral twist to Armani Diamonds, with the launch of the third fragrance in the family. Armani Diamonds Rose is a sparkling, fruity number with plenty of zest – good news for me, as citrussy, fruity florals are really floating my boat this spring.

Armani Diamonds Rose SS13

Here, the interpretation of the rose is delicate and light and, although there’s lots of fruit in the mix– predominately pink berries, like raspberry and blackcurrant – it’s not overly sweet or sugary at all. It's balanced by the lovely lemony freshness of the bergamot, and there’s a crispness added by the soft notes of lily of the valley and freesia.

In the drydown, amber and patchouli give an appealing touch of creamy musk that lingers - lightly - on the skin; after four or five hours of wear, I find myself reaching for another spritz.

The overall impression I get is of something very fresh and feminine, free-spirited and laidback – perfect, then, for spring and summer, warmer weather and long, lazy, sunny afternoons. Don't worry, I'm not holding my breath...

Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose

Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose will be available exclusively from Arnotts from June 12th, and from Giorgio Armani fragrance stockists nationwide, from July 1st. It’s priced at €34.50 for 30ml and €44.50 for 50 ml.
Does this sound like something you might like to try? What scents do you favour in  springtime?
